Summary: tens of thousands of demonstrators today in thessaloniki
Article: tens of thousands of demonstrators today in thessaloniki.
Most of the demonstrators marched peacefully. The black block, started from the university campus, breaking stuff. When they reached the main avenue (where other demonstrations where taking place) they started throwing molotov bombs at some cops. Riot police responded with extreme use of teargas and many molotov bombs followed. The black block was scattered shortly after, with one part, ending back at the campus. (The campuses in Greece are asylums and the police cannot attack inside without special permission from the vice chancellors of the schools inside). Then, people from the black block started throwing molotov bombs, outside the campus. Now, there are many people inside the campus. The indymedia center (in the Law School) was shut down by the people participating in it (fearing that the cops are going to go inside).

A large bloc of the Anti-authoritarian Movement Salonika and of the Disobedients headed for the Rd Zone, where they attempted to break through the ring of police. During the sporadic battle-of-stones and the conflict of body-against-body, the cops continued to use huge amounts of chemicals. Finally the bloc returned in co-ordination to the village.
