Today, 2nd of December 2014, a solidarity demonstration took place for Nikos Romanos, prisoner on hunger strike since 10/11/14 demanding the granting of educational leave from prison. Thousands of people participated on the demonstration. Part of the demonstration headed for the occupied Polytechnic School.
For us the occupied ground of the Polytechnic School is of no value in itself. Rather it is yet another piece on the mosaic of dignity and resistance against all those who want to make society into a graveyard. It is a piece on the mosaic of resistance against the modern day totalitarianism that spreads over our lives, from the anarchist hunger strikers and the high security prisons, to the Syrian hunger strikers and to all those around the world fighting for dignity and freedom.
We call on all struggling people to take any necessary initiative towards the victory of the hunger strike of Nikos Romanos. From occupying schools to the blockade of production. From the breach of the media vow of silence to attacks on the guards of order.
Lets rise to the challenge of our times against state repression, contrary to the rationale that wants us to remain passive spectators and voters. Uncompromising solidarity to N. Romanos, hunger striker since 10/11 and to hunger strikers in solidarity G. Michaelidis (since 17/11), A.D. Bourzoukos (since 1/12) and D. Politis (since 1/12).
